SSIS String to GUID trick
If you ever need to import a GUID from a flat file to a database using SSIS you’ll need to transform the string to a GUID, using this technique.
Mapping GUID to GUID doesn’t work because apparently SQL server expects to get the opening and closing braces as part of the GUID.
The technique mentioned in the linked article works like a charm and is a life saver.
